Day of Beauty at Youth Challenge
Monday Feb 15th
at Noon
It’s makeover day at
Youth Challenge and Houses of H.O.P.E. will be providing the volunteers,
the lunches, and hopefully the goodie bags! We’re looking for donations of
food (sandwiches, desserts, drinks, chips, or dips), supplies for the
goodie bags (nail polish, nail polish remover, cotton balls makeup,
lotions), and of course volunteers!

The Junior Woman's Club of Newport News
Help is needed during their annual Valentine’s Day dinner and
dance, benefitting the Oyster Point Children’s Hospital of the King’s
Daughters. To volunteer your time or to donate money call Wanda @ 879-4100.
Help is needed on the following days:
Thursday Feb 11th from 11:30 a.m. until 3pm (moving furniture, setting
up tables/chairs, etc.)
Friday Feb 12th from 11:30 a.m. until 4pm (decorating, filling
balloons, hanging decorative lights, etc.)
Celebration of Life
March 28th from 3-6
We’re hosting an easter party for the women and children of Avalon,
including an easter egg hunt! Please see below for donation suggestions and
as always we can use volunteers!
Items needed: colored & decorated eggs, eggs filled with candy, baskets
(as well as filler), foods (meats eggs and milk), gift cards for Walmart,
Target, or gas. As always monetary donations will also be accepted and will
be used to purchase those items not donated. Call Wanda @ 879-4100 for more
information!
